March 7, 2010 - AJ had one of the faster cars in Jr Honda today, but never got to show it at the end because of minor mistakes that caused him to have to fight his way from the back of the pack.  In the end, he was either 5th or 6th out of 11 cars in Jr Honda.

In Jr Animal, it was a whole other story.  Since the last race every aspect of the setup in AJ's Animal car has been completely changed and it paid off big time.  AJ's car started out a little bit tight in the morning practice session, but after two changes his car was fast in the heat race.  Unfortunately AJ got a little loose out of turn two with only a few laps left and got hit by another car.  His car wasn't damaged, but AJ was in pain from his left leg slamming into the bars on the inside of the car.  When he drove into the pits, there were tears coming down his face.  He said he was ok to finish, so we pushed him out and once on the track his injuries didn't seem to phase him at all.  He quickly flexed his muscle on the track and finished second in the heat, but he all over his friend Isaak's bumper trying to get the in the heat race.  The amazing thing was, when he got to the scales after the race, he was still crying from his hurt leg.  We had him checked out after that and he had a nice bruise and swelling, but overall was just fine.  In the main he started on the outside of the front row and quickly jumped out into the lead on the start and led every lap on his way to his first win of 2010.
